Guide: how to create a loyalty program with Fedele

This guide will walk you through creating your loyalty program step by step. In just a few minutes, you'll be ready to reward your customers and keep them coming back.

1. Set up your program

Set the points value

The first step is to decide how many points your customers earn for each euro spent.

Example:

  • €1 = 1 point (simple and clear)
  • €1 = 10 points (higher numbers give more satisfaction)

Tip: Start with a simple ratio. You can always change it later in settings.

Create your rewards

Rewards are the heart of your program. Here are some effective examples:

How to create a reward:

  1. Go to the Settings section and tap Manage rewards in the menu
  2. Tap + Add reward
  3. Enter name, description, and required points
  4. Save

Tip: Create 3-4 rewards at different point levels. This motivates customers to keep collecting.

Define terms and conditions (optional)

You can customize your loyalty program rules to fit your business needs:

  • Minimum age requirements - If necessary for your industry
  • Geographic validity - Specify which locations accept the program
  • Exclusions - Products or services excluded from earning points
  • Usage rules - How and when customers can redeem rewards

Tip: Keep the rules simple and transparent. An easy-to-understand program is more effective.


2. Welcome your customers

How to register a new customer

When a customer wants to join your loyalty program:

Method - QR Code (recommended)

  1. The customer downloads the Fedele app (free), we recommend displaying the QR Code near the checkout or counter for quick app downloads
  2. Complete registration in 30 seconds
  3. They're immediately ready to receive points

3. Manage transactions

How to add points

After each purchase, add points to the customer:

  1. Tap Scan customer code
  2. Scan the customer's barcode (or enter it manually)
  3. Enter the transaction amount (e.g., €20.00)
  4. Confirm to add points

Practical example:

  • Transaction: €20.00
  • Points value: €1 = 1 point
  • Points awarded: +20 points

How to redeem a reward

When a customer wants to use their points:

  1. Tap Scan customer code
  2. Scan the reward code (shown by the customer) or enter it manually (e.g., 1234567890123)
  3. Verify the reward details
  4. Confirm to redeem

The system will automatically validate and mark that reward as used.


4. Best practices

Grow your program

Promote actively

  • Ask every customer if they want to join
  • Display the QR code prominently at checkout
  • Remind customers of their accumulated points

Make rewards achievable

  • The first reward should be obtainable in 3-5 visits
  • Rewards that are too far away demotivate customers

Mistakes to avoid

  • Don't forget to assign points after every purchase
  • Don't create unreachable rewards
  • Don't change the rules too often
